This is a Director of Development role for a leading healthcare benefits management and pharmacy benefits management with 30 years of experience and know-how, offering support to insurance companies, mutual funds,  large employer schemes and pharmacies with highly advanced tools and services. Our client provides innovative state-of-the-art solutions and comprehensive services to manage its clients’ complex needs.

Manages the relationship between development teams and upper management, estimate project budgets, schedule project timelines, arrange for resources and also help in solving technical problems as and when needed

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Proficient in handling the most complex of technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts and designing techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with development teams and clients
  • Understand project requirements, coordinate with resources and direct the projects in the right direction in a timely manner
  • Provide a software development plan that meets the future needs of our clients and markets, based on the state of the art technologies
  • Evolve the existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed
  • Help developers resolve both technical problems as well as human resources issues
  • Monitor individual employees’ performance
  • Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development and systems integration
  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Must have at least 10 years’ experience working through the design, development and delivering software products
  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Willingness to dive into software environment and technical issues
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to details
  • Background in health insurance is a plus
  • Well organized, excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, French is a plus
