Our client is an award-winning, cloud-based, real-time communication platform that can virtually transport a person into any place in the world, regardless of location, to remotely assist, mentor, or train colleagues. Overlaying AR features and machine learning services over a real-time communication feed to augment the delivery of care and education

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior NOC engineer to join the Infrastructure team. You will have in depth knowledge of monitoring platforms and be able to maintain the production infrastructure to meet SLA levels.

Your responsibilities
  • Building and maintaining the monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high levels of availability
  • React to customer-impacting events and lead a team to quickly solve the problem
  • Troubleshoot critical problems through applications, systems, clouds, and networks
  • Provide technical leadership and key insights to improve platform and Engineering capabilities
  • Build tools and processes to improve manageability, observability, resiliency and time to restore service for critical incidents

Required skills
  • BSc IT, Computer Science, or similar
  • 5+ years experience
  • Experience of working in a NOC, preferably in a SaaS (software as a service) environment
  • Monitoring and alerting technologies
  • Incident management experience
  • Information Security awareness
  • Working knowledge of Public Cloud backed platforms
  • Working knowledge of network technologies and a breadth knowledge of multiple firewall vendors
  • Knowledge of Linux based operating systems
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

Desired skills
  • Experience building NOC functionality and NOC team
  • Experience with Sensu, Grafana, New Relic, Cloudwatch monitoring/alerting toolkit
  • Experience working in AWS / Azure Clouds
  • Experience in HIPAA/GDPR compliance environments
  • Experience with Jira Service Desk / Zendesk
  • Experience in incident management in a large scale / high uptime environment
