About Our Client:

Principal Duties & Responsabilties:
1. Contemporary art curatorial experience and collection management for at least 7 years in similar institutions.
2. Understanding of the contemporary collection and work on the development of the collection through acquisitions, loans, and commissions.
3. Stay updated on current trends, artists, and market conditions in the art world. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging artists, valuable artworks, and investment opportunities.
4. Collaborate with clients, collectors, or organizations to understand their preferences, goals, and
budget for art acquisitions. Develop strategies and curate art collections that align with the client's vision and objectives.
5. Assess the quality, authenticity, and value of artworks through careful examination, analysis, and consultation with experts. Determine the suitability of pieces for acquisition based on factors such as artistic merit, historical significance, condition, and market value
6. Cultivate relationships with artists, galleries, auction houses, dealers, and other art professionals to
expand your network and gain access to a wide range of art sources. Attending art events,
exhibitions, and auctions to discover new talent and build connections within the art community.
7. Negotiate with sellers, galleries, or auction houses to secure the purchase of desired artworks at
favorable terms. Handle price negotiations, contract agreements, and logistics related to the
acquisition process.
8. Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential art acquisitions, including provenance,
ownership history, legal issues, and authenticity verification. Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in the art market.
9. Maintain accurate records of acquired artworks, including documentation, provenance, condition
reports, and insurance details. Organize and manage inventory systems to track the location, condition, and value of artworks in the collection.
10. Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on art acquisitions, investment potential, and collection management. Educate clients on different art styles, periods, and artists to help them make informed decisions.
