Our client is extending its capabilities to include project and technical support for investment banking clients, initially in Saudi Arabia but potentially also in other Gulf countries.
This role will involve providing application and technical support and to deliver external and internal training on a regular basis. The Support Analyst will have experience in supporting applications within the investment operations & fund accounting area and will join a team responsible for the provision, availability, and operations of our production systems and processes. This position demands exposure to various web technologies including Tomcat, Docker, Jenkins, and Java applications hosted on the private cloud.

Role Description
Provide day-to-day technical support, developing a resolution for customer issues based on product and industry knowledge.
Support all technical aspects consisting of technologies Docker, Tomcat, Jenkins based on MS Windows and Linux.
Adopt existing support processes and ensure that production systems remain operational.
Specify and manage minor patches and enhancements to be implemented under change control.
Develop and maintain client relationships, requiring deep technical and functional expertise.
Establish and use monitoring tools to troubleshoot application issues in the production environment in a proactive and timely manner.
Own and ensure the tickets such as incidents, service requests, and change requests are serviced appropriately.
Timely escalate issues to the next level or vendor.
Code deployment (Maintenance) / Release Implementation for multiple applications.
Deploy code to UAT/QA and Production environments as instructed by Development and QA Group.
Apply Application updates/patches as required.
Contribute to the quarterly disaster tests for clients with other infrastructure teams.
Take automation improvement initiatives to reduce manual tasks improving efficiencies.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Background and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Telecommunication/Electronics.
5 to 7 years experience in working with mid/large-size enterprises.
ITIL V3 Foundation Certified.
Business Skills and Competencies
Experience in an investment operations role, specifically in fund accounting is a plus.
Previous exposure to software development.
Knowledge of customer services operations and procedures.
Experience using MS SQL Server database tools and Crystal Reports.
Exposure supporting Java application environment hosted on private cloud, log and thread dump analysis.
Hands-on experience on Apache Tomcat including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Exposure to working in Docker-based environment configuration and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience on Jenkins setting up and configuration of jobs and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience in Linux shell scripting.
Basic understanding of Linux Administration.
Exposure to financial domain enterprises is preferable.
Ability to work in an ITIL-based process-based support environment.
