Our client is extending its capabilities to include project and technical support for investment banking clients, initially in Saudi Arabia but potentially also in other Gulf countries.
The role will be part of a team to run and maintain FIS software for our clients. This role will involve providing application and technical support and to deliver external and internal training on a regular basis. The Support Analyst will have experience in supporting applications within the investment operations & fund accounting area and will join a team responsible for the provision, availability, and operations of our production systems and processes.
This position supports the platforms for multiple FIS Capital Markets Platforms

Role Description:
This position provides 24 x 7 on-call support for all assigned production-related systems.
Monitor, Track, and Report on all job abends/errors.
Maintain and monitor all application schedules, investigating and repairing errors.
Design, update and maintain monitoring tools.
Create, update, and maintain run and recovery procedures.
Maintenance of the batch schedules for the distributed environment using the CA Workload Automation AE (Autosys) scheduling software.
Daily monitoring of the run schedules. Attendance at daily status meetings to discuss any reported scheduling issues.
Design and maintenance of all scheduling flows, calendars, and associated resources.
On request changes to job flows.
On request project enhancements/additions to job flows.
Troubleshoot and rectify any schedule-related issues affecting correct and timely job flows.
Assist in application recoveries by providing necessary scheduling expertise when required.
Verify scheduling changes introduced by other Technical Analysts.
Application Maintenance.
Monitor scheduling software performance.
Interface with scheduling software vendors to get a resolution to questions or issues regarding the scheduling software, or to request enhancements to schedule software functionality.
Work with Systems Engineering to ensure that scheduling software platforms are successfully supporting the operation of the software.
Efficiency and Productivity.
Review run schedules on a standard and constant basis for accuracy and efficiency.
Develop or otherwise undertake projects designed to improve the productivity of the scheduling software, usually via scheduling efficiency enhancements.
Change Management.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Background and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology.
ITIL v3 Foundation or higher desirable.
Business Skills and Competencies:
Extensive experience in supporting multitenant enterprise environments on the Unix platform.
Troubleshooting of day-to-day application-related production issues.
Experience in raising and implementing changes in a production environment.
Hand-on experience in documenting and reviewing standard operating procedures.
Competent in best practice principles of risk, information security, and compliance.
Knowledge of the financial services marketplace.
Expertise in Unix, shell scripting, middleware like tomcat/jobs.
Exposure to application deployment tools and practices.
Skilled in automating day-to-day tasks using shell script and automation tools.
Exposure to ITIL-based process practices.
