Role Summary
The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining control over the accounting transactions and coordinating with the finance department as needed to resolved financial discrepancies. Also, preparing financial
statements, quarterly budgets and reporting are a large part of the accountant’s day-to-day work.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Maintain established departmental policies, procedures and objectives
Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
Regularly update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business
Enter transaction data into system using Sage 100 and Sage X3 (after Merge) or any other system given by the Management
Connect with Banks for Transfers, LGs, Statement of Accounts and any other applications needed
Coordinate the monthly book close by the deadline set by superior
Coordinate with the external payroll company regarding monthly accounting applications
Prepare quarterly budgets to be sent to the finance department
Prepare several bordereaux for the brokers, company, and the reinsurer
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to company accounting and financial guidelines
Coordinate with related parties and perform intercompany reconciliation
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by his manager
Job Requirements:
5 to 8 years of experience in a related field
University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
An advanced English communication skills and Spanish is a plus.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Advanced Excel skills
